Secondary school teacher

My name is Menghorng Heng, I am a Secondary school teacher specializing in Khmer literature and moral civics. I attended the teacher training course at Kampong Cham Regional Teacher Training center in the 12th promotion, 2000-2002 and I started my teaching career from October 1st, 2002 until now.

The factors that inspire me to take up the teaching profession are standard of living and talent because being as a teacher is loved and passionate work. I really love it because I want to help preserve and develop Khmer literature to survive and keep growing by sharing it to the next generation of Cambodian. In addition, I do not only love but I also find it very easy to learn and remember on this subject matter.

I am only knowledgeable, but I have plan and objective for my teaching.    

  • Change from incomprehensible writing into comprehensible.
  • Fully able to comprehend single letter word in order to reduce mistakes in writing.
  • Make it easy for students to s learn and love their native language.
  • Encourage students to love, understand the value and importance of their mother tongue language.
  • Education shows how to do, how to learn in order to be more easily learnable, connecting with a Buddhist-educated approach.

On 2nd November 2022, I started working as a part-time teacher at American Intercon School (AIS), Siem Reap campus. This work has really given me more new experiences in teaching in order to develop and transfer knowledge to students.

The American Intercon School (AIS) is a good general education school focusing on "Quality discipline and service" and following up with the quality of student’s education. This made me realize that the American Intercon School (AIS) is a general education that give me chance to share my knowledge to the next generation and train human resource and help preserve and develop our mother-tongue. I am really pleased and grateful for Neak Oknha Dr. Mengly J. Quach, is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Mengly J. Quach Education, who recruited me to become one of the teachers in this school.
